Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
kinda being a witness to a crime
i have to got to court today for something that happened 2 years ago, and i really don't remember alot and wasn't actual witness to the actual crime i just spoke to the suspect before the crime happened and i don't want to go to court and testify i'm scared. Is there something i can do to get out of this?

Whether you have to go to court depends on whether you got a subpoena. If so, then you have to show up. If you did not get a subpoena, then you do not have to go to court. You might want to call the prosecutor and let them know that you do not remember anything. If you do testify, it is okay to say that you do not remember if you don't.
