Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Knife laws in Texas
Am I to understand it is legal to carry an exposed fixed blade knife as long as it is not over 5 1/2'' long and not double edged? Does it have to be exposed or can it be concealed as well? Thank you.

Re: Knife laws in Texas
Your question is succinct and straightforward, but the answer is not. Briefly, the definitions are contained in the Texas Penal Code, Chapter 46. There is also an excellent primer put out by a local District Attorney's Office, that cites the statutes, the caselaw, and their office policy.
