Is it legal for your landlord to ask you to call everytime your husband who beats you comes over? The landlord can ask. Your husband has probably been trespass warned not to return to the property and if so, he can be arrested for doing so. (If he has a MOEP in place against him, he can be charged with violating that as well.)
Your landlord has the right to have peace at their property. Read your lease for terms of what can be done if you assist someone in violating the law (by letting them in the property). Perhaps the landlord can evict you, too.
