The law on charging a man for the same crime
my step dad hit and killed two kids one was 15 and drunk the other was 12 and no alchol in system, he was not intoxicated the official charges came through today, they are charging him with only one boys death but they are charging him with one count of neglient homicide and one count of manslaughter (not specified which vol. or invol.) can they do that on only one death because they found the boys were in the middle of the road and it was dark what is the law on that

Yes they can! Hire an experienced defense attorney--do not use a court appointed.
