Laws re: recording of conversations
Is it legal in the state of Texas to record a conversation via tape recorder w/o the other party knowing? Also, if you are allowed to can you use it to your advantage in a custody dispute?

Re: Laws re: recording of conversations
In the state of Texas if ONE of the parties to the conversation is aware of the taping, then it is legal for some purposes. Be aware however, that if you are taping from another state, you need to make sure that it is legal in that state. Taped conversations and answering machine tapes can be used in custody cases in Texas.
