Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Is it legal to claim a door from an abandoned house in Texas? It has been abandoned for a number of years the trailer is falling down and no one is using it, would I get into trouble if I took the front door from the property?

Yes you would. It does not belong to nor does the property. You are trespassing when you go on the property and if you take the door, it is theft.
If you want to door, figure out who the owner is through property records and contact them and offer to buy the door (or ask if you can have it.)
