My husband is in a situation where he was offered 12 years then they offered him 9 years at that time his attorney was not present an attorney from a different firm filled in at the last minute when my husband asked to pass the assistant DA got upset and said no that if he didn't sign at that time that she would reindict him increasing the amount of substances on the indictment because they had made a mistake on the present one his attorney is making no efforts to defend my husband I need to know if this is possible an they reindict him and increase his charges if they made a mistake in the indictment? please help?!

Without getting into the facts and conversations of this case, since your husband is represented by an attorney, it is possible for the District Attorney's office to reindict someone if they have made a mistake in an indictment. In fact, they are required to correct all mistakes that they may make in an indictment, or it could cause them problems if the case was to go to trial with those mistakes.
