Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
is it legal for investigators or warrant officers to go through a subjects trash? If so what texas state stautute covers that?

One generally doesn't have a legitimate expectation of privacy in one's trash.
It does make a difference where the trash is - out at the curb, as opposed to being locked inside one's garage.
