Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
limitations for exspungement
I would like to know how long after completing a deferred judificated sentence, would it be for me to file for exspungement or disclosure?
Thanks,
Misty

Re: limitations for exspungement
Deferred adjudication is not always a qualifying route to get your record expunged. In Texas the rules for expunction are strict, and it will depend upon whether the case was felony or misdemeanor, what your sentence was, what the court's finding was, how old the case is, and whether or not the ADA objects to the expunction. Consult an attorney in your area to see if your case qualifies. Many attorneys do not charge for a short consultation. Ask at the time you call if there is a consultation fee. TCL
