Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Limitations on Outstanding Warrant

I have been indicted for theft 1500-20000 and I now have an outstanding warrant. To my knowledge this is a State Jail Felony. Is there a point in time when an outstanding warrant becomes inactive or goes away? Also, I read that the punishment for a State Jail Felony was mandatory probation, as long as the crime was not aggrevated. Is this correct? Also, what are the chances the police are going to try to arrest me at my place of residence. I was indicted almost a year ago and have never heard another thing about it? Thanks

Re: Limitations on Outstanding Warrant

The warrant for your arrest does not go away. You can be arrested at any time; either at your home, place of business, or at a traffic stop. Theft of $1500-$20,000 is a state jail felony. There is no guarantee of probation; especially if you have prior convictions. You need an attorney. If you live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area call me at 817-763-0600.
