Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
listening devices
Ive noticed numerous times my neighbor in my condo complex listening to my conversation outside on our pier . She has a hand held device.Today I saw her holding it again and pointing it directly at us. I have had very private conversations there with my husband thinking no one could here me and now i realize she has heard everything. Is this against the law, isnt it eavesdropping?

Re: listening devices
It is highly unlikely that she committed any criminal offense. If you have asked her to stop, and she won't then sue her, and get a judge to make her stop. Eavesdropping is rude, but not criminal. Under some circumstances, invasion of privacy is a civil cause of action.
