Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I live in Dallas, Texas. I bailed someone out of jail. I paid the whole amount cash to the county clerk and was told that i could get my money back when they went to their court date. They hired a lawyer to handle it, and on every court date they just have the court date pushed back over and over again. Its been 5 months now that they have been pushing it back and im trying to see if this will affect me getting my bail money back.

As long as the person goes to court, it will not affect you. If you decide you no longer want to be on the hook for the bond, you can ask that it be returned to you now. The person will have to make another bond or sit in jail while the case is pending.
