How long after I have quit my job does my employer have to accuse me of stealing ? Is there a time limit ? Civil or criminal wise ?

Generally, theft is divided into misdemeanors and felonies. A misdemeanor can be filed two years from the date of the occurrence. Felonies have various periods of time, known as statutes of limitation. Some can be filed as late as 10 years after the theft.
