Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Marijuan charge
I recently received a notice of seizure for some money that was found with 3 ounces of marijuana. The wrong Date of Birth is on the notice 4 times though. Does this mean that I could possibly get my money back? I haven't received a ticket yet though for marijuana charge but just a receipt of what they took because we are waiting to talk to the officers. Should i wait for the ticket to come and if thats wrong i could get the case thrown out? Thank you for your time.

Who is "we"? Hopefully it is you and your attorney. No one should be talking to officers except your lawyer. Ever. Unless your lawyer has advised you to first, and made the appropriate arrangements. Additionally, there is a time limit regarding that notice, and you should not take action without your attorney's go-ahead. There is an upside and a downside to claiming money associated with a drug charge. Discuss this with your attorney. If you don't have one, get one tomorrow.
