What is the max jail time for a class A misdemeanor?

1 year in the county jail. However, sheriffs are allowed to give good time credit, and most jails that I am aware of award 2-for-1 credit. You should speak with a local lawyer for more info.

I agree with Mr. Walcutt. The maximum jail time by law is 1 year not counting any good time credit.
