Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
mental institions
My daughter is being threatened by her husband and she needs to have him committed to a mental instition in Texas. What does the Texas law say about what she has to do to commit him? PS He has threatened her before with bodily harm. He is scheduled to see a psychiatrist tomorrow if he keeps the appointment.

Re: mental institions
She needs to contact her county mental health office immediately. If and when he threatens her, she also needs to contact law enforcement immediately.
Good luck.
