what happens if a mexican is caught trying to smuggle 4 kilos of cocaine into the u.s.a. in falfurrias checkpoint? what is the procedeure? do you have the option to pay bail? what could bail be? what could the sentence be?

A lot of what happens depends on whether they are charged in the state or federal system. If they are illegally in the U.S., they will not likely be released on bond. And, the sentence would depend on which system and the person's criminal history and any extraneous information they have developed on this person (such as conspiracy information.)
