Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Hello my name is Michelle and I a 19 yr. old female. I have been charged with a Class B misdeamor of theft of 84 dollars. This is my first offense ever, I have never had a record or ticket. I am otherwise a well-behaved girl I just wasn't really thinking and realizing there are consequences. I go to college full-time, and I work part-time as a waitress. What should I be expecting when I go into court? What should I plead?

I would also strongly suggest that you hire a lawyer to represent you on this case. This is a theft case that could be on your record for the rest of your life. The last thing that you need is to have a crime of moral turpitude following you around making it difficult to get jobs or to find an apartment. You are facing up to 180 days in jail. I strongly urge you to hire a lawyer.
