Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Minor in Consumption, dismissal
If we recieved citations for minor in consumption and do not wish to plea guilty, no contest, or deferred adjudification, how would we go about attempting to have the ticket dismissed? Is it possible to get it dismissed before the court date? What if I only consumed one beer?

Re: Minor in Consumption, dismissal
Every defendant in the world would like to have charges dismissed. Unfortunately there are is no magic process for dismissals. If you don't want to plead guilty you will need to have a trial. Your best option for dismissal is to plead guilty, if you committed the offense, pursuant to a deferred adjudication plea agreement. The case will be dismissed if you comply with all the terms and conditions of deferred adjudication probation. The amount of alcohol is not a factor in this case.
