Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Minor in Consumption
Hi. I got a minor in consumption ticket some time toward the end of July of 2005. I recently received another ticket for the same reason today, Sept 22 2005. I got cought in a bar by an off duty bouncer, whom i have several witnesses (about 4) that say he was drinking and that he wasn't clocked in. The officer that gave me the ticket did not give me a breathalizer test and i was not drunk. I was in brobation for 90 days and im wondering if there is any way that i can still keep that off my record. Money is not a problem.

Re: Minor in Consumption
Maybe. It is really impossible to know until reviewing the court's file, and the prosecutor's affidavits. Even then, if it cannot be dismissed pretrial, it may be necessary to set it for trial -- and take the chances. On the other hand, it may be possible to negotiate this case to run concurrent with the other case, and extend the probation. Where did you get the ticket, and when is your court date? TCL
