Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
minor in possession
I recently received a MIP while floating a central Texas river. TABC officers on the riverbanks called our group over, and we complied. I had no beer in my hands near my tube. There were 2 people in our group of 7 that were over 21 and drinking. As I never had beer in my hands, in my tube, and was not even close to the cooler housing the beer, I believe this charge is unwarranted. I am far off to believe that this charge is worth fighting without resorting to deferred adjudication?
