i need to know what do i need to do to not get arrested?

There may be nothing you can do. If you are charged, then you have to deal with it. You could be proactive, and hire a lawyer now, to make the process smoother, and have bail prepared in advance. The lawyer may also be able to determine if the case is going to progress or be closed.
