Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I have a misdemeanor on my criminal record for forgery on a medical prescription, but in the USIS background check it reveals final charge or impersonating of a licensed professional, and attempting to obtain a controlled substance with forgery. I never obtained the prescription and it was only charged as a misdemeanor. It was in Memphis, TN, Shelby County, and I served 11 months and 29 days of probabtion and have paid all my fines and restitution and I am clear of all legal obligation. It was my first and only offense, and I want to know if there is any way that I can get it expunged off of my record and how I can go about doing so?

You will need to hire a lawyer. Explain the situatation that the charge and conviction need to be corrected. He will need to get the original court records and use them to file a peition to expunge these incorrect items from your criminal records.
