Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Misdemeanor drug possession
I was arrested for a minute amount of marijuana in 1996 - nearly five years ago. I pled no contest, after making an agreement with the prosecutor that this plea and payment of a fine would conclude the matter. Now, nearly five years later, my Louisiana driver's license is being suspended. Why is the agreement I had with the prosecutor being dismissed?

Re: Misdemeanor drug possession
I cannot imagine why your driver's license is being suspended for a misdemeanor charge of simple possession of Marijuana. There is something missing in your facts.
