Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Can a misdemeanor be expunged or sealed

My son was pled guilty to a class a misdemeanor in 8/2001 when he was 19 years old. He received probation and deferred sentence his missed probation a few times and went back to court and completed his work duty and probation. Can he have this record expunged or sealed. He has lost 2 jobs or more and is not able to get into a nice apartment (that would be safe for his new baby) because of the criminal record. He has never been in any trouble besides this and he received this charge because someone was harrassing his younger sister and he was defending her.

Is there anything that can be done? It seems unreasonable to have to pay for the rest of your life for something you did when you were 19.

Re: Can a misdemeanor be expunged or sealed

Your son might be eligible for a non-disclosure. However, I need to know what the class A misdemeanor was. I also need to know if he completed the deferred probation? or if it was changed to a regular probation because of the misses? Depending on the answers, I can tell you whether he is eligible for a non-disclosure or not.
