Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
misdemeanor offense
I previously had a warrant for theft by check 20. I decided to turn myself in. Will this offense still appear on my record once the charge is dismissed? If so, will it be hard to have it expunged?

Re: misdemeanor offense
Yes, your criminal record will reflect an arrest if the charges are dismissed. Whether you are eligible for an expungement is a question best left to local legal counsel who can discuss your case in more detail and outline your options. My advice is to call some immediately to determine your legal rights.
