Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Misdemeanor warrants, OUT OF STATE
I recently relocated from San Diego, CA to Tx and I need to get an ID for Tx for employment purposes. I have 2 $5000.00 misdemeanor warrants and dont know if an arrest is a priority or even possible extradition. Am I safe so I can get my life back on track and pay the fines I owe as soon as possible? Help!?

Re: Misdemeanor warrants, OUT OF STATE
If you go to get an ID, the warrants may very well show up, and you would be taken into custody. Then you would sit in jail until CA decided whether or not to extradite you. You need to work with a CA attorney to see about getting the warrants resolved first.
