Motion of discovery
In the state of Texas, how long does an attorney have to get the paperwork from the DA, by filing the motion of discovery ?

Generally (and all cases are different) defense counsel can file Motions up to 30 days before trial. With leave of court, closer to trial. The state needs to provide the information timely. Timely is an unknown period of time -- if counsel is having difficulty getting the information, he/she can ask the judge to issue deadlines.
