Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Can I move to Texas if I was convicted of a Sex Crime (felony but no registration required in the state of CA) but had it lowered to a misdemeanor and subsequently dropped off of my record?

You can move to Texas but whether you would be required to register depends on the offense for which you were convicted. It will be compared to the Texas statutes to determine if registration is required here (since it is not required there.)
