What happens when a murder case is disposed of after a suspect has been indicted for the murder?

When you say disposed, I assume you mean dismissed? If it was dismissed after indictment, then the case is dismissed. However, there is no statute of limitations for murder, so the suspect could be indicted again if they get more evidence or someone else may get indicted. You never know.
