Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My nephew is 19 years old, caught intoxicated in the back passenger seat with 2 other people who weren't intoxicated, he panicked when they started to pat him down and admitted that he had drank some that night but had very little to drink that night and found marijuana flakes in his pocket.
He got a citation for a class C misdemeanor for minor intoxicated and with drug paraphernalia. what can we expect from this? And he was planning on moving out of Texas to Utah in the next month will this effect the move?
1 Answer from Attorneys
He shouldn't leave without resolving this first. Otherwise, he may be travelling back and forth. And attorney should be able to resolve this in a way that satisfies him. Possibly a dismissal of the marijuana, and deferred on the intoxication.
