Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My niece and her girlfriend were in a fight while driving, her girlfriend jumped from the rear window of the truck and was thrown from the vehicle. My niece then lifted her from the road placed her in the truck drove her to a friends house and together they took her to the hospital and unfortunatley registered her under an incorrect name. She is still in a coma. investigators questioned my niece once but not again. Her girlfriends family desires to press charges. Investigators are not returning our calls but we are told that the D.A. is not releasing the vehicle back to my niece. What does that mean? Where there any laws broken? Why are we not able to get the vehicle back?
