Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
NSF case
I pled no contest in a case involving an NSF check. I did not pay a fine, but took a NSF check awareness course. In filling out a job application that asks for convictions of crime, would this be considered a conviction?

Re: NSF case
Was the case dismissed in exchange for the course? Were you placed on deferred adjudication or disposition? You may not have a conviction, especially if this was a Class C misdemeanor. Get a copy of your file from the clerk, it should answer your question.
