Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
what could the options be for my sentencing when I go to court? I have a Class A Family Violence Misdemeanor causing bodily injury. I completed about 12 of a total of 18 months on probation. I originally got sentenced to a Dwi/ drug court program. I don't have a lawyer yet, but I've planned to ask for a court appointed one. Any feedback in regards to my situation would be very much appreciated, thanks.

You have two issues, the probability of a motion to revoke on the DWI as well as the Family Violence charge. Get an attorney and make sure he or she is aware of both charges. When you go to court, ask for a court appointed attorney. If they refuse, ask for time to hire an attorney. Sentencing options depend upon the court and locality. A local attorney should be familiar with these.
