Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Organized Criminal Activities

I was arrested a year ago and charged with organized criminal activities based on one persons testimony. I am a teacher and I believe the arresting officer acted in haste due to my profession. I have been corporative with the law. On the day of my arrest, I went to the police station to give them some information I had heard at school. They searched my house twice, once prior to my arrest and with my permission and the other after my arrest on a warrant. Neither time did I receive any paper work. Nor have I as of yet. All of this has caused me to lose my job and my reputation. Do I have any recourses?

Re: Organized Criminal Activities

You may have many methods of recourse. I would suggest talking to an attorney in your area as soon as possible. You mention that you were arrested and charged with an offense, but you didn't mention a conviction. Based upon some of the things you wrote, you may be able to successfully fight the prosecution against you.

With the backlash from your job, let your attorney read your employment contract. The contents of your contract will indicate to an attorney the appropriate steps to take.
