Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Pardon
I was sentenced to 3yrs. prison time in 1979 on a drug charge(made parole)and was sentenced to 1mth.jail time in 1983 on a drug charge(did 1mth)
My question is: can I get a pardon to have these convictions taken off my record and if so,how much would something like this cost and would I need a lawyer to get this process started?

Re: Pardon
Yes, you need a lawyer, since you do not know the process involved.
If you have an exceptional case you might get a pardon from the governor, but it is rare.
Consult with an attorney in your county to determine if the charges can be sealed.
