Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Pardon in Texas

Can you apply to receive a pardon from the Governor (Texas) if you were put on deferred adjudication for a Class A misdeameanor? It was non-violent crime and haven't been in trouble before that or since then. It's been 10 years since being arrested. Completed probation and paid all fines.

Re: Pardon in Texas

You do not have a conviction on your record. However, you are eligible for a non-disclosure which would prevent most people from accessing the records during a criminal record search. Don't know about pardon since you don't have a conviction.
