Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Parole Eligibility
My husband has been sentenced to 5 years in a Texas prison for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, is that charge eligible for parole, and how much of the sentence will he be required to serve? I have heard that he will have to serve 1/2 of the sentence.

Re: Parole Eligibility
Yes, it is a 3g offense so not eligible until do half of sentence. Whether he gets parole or not depends on a lot of factors.
