Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Parole Hearing Procedures
Question: My sister is up for parole in TDC come appx October of this year (2003) and I wanted to know if there is any way, if she is denied, can we request a rehearing prior to whatever date they give her. For example: Say they tell her to bring another two, can we petition for an earlier date under any (and I mean ''any'' and have a chance) procedural rules, like say in 10months can we (with an atty's help) get her another shot? It was my understanding that the Texas Parole system was ''flexible''.
Thanks.
