Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Parole

I would like to know by what procedure or avenue do I take to successfully retrieve a copy of my file from the parole board of my state. They tell me it is confidential and I have no legal right to obtain it.

Re: Parole

They are correct. It is confidential and they don't have to give it to you.

You can test this by filing for a copy of your file under the Freedom of Information Act. Be sure to clearly identify in your request that you are proceeding under the Act, and be sure to submit your request by Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested.

I doubt you will get any useful information or that such as you seek, but you won't know unless you try.

The statements and identities of those who provide information to the parole board are kept confidentail for their safety. You won't get those.
