what are the penalties for missing a court date and leaving the country where th
Daughter is 21. Went to jail in Austin Texas charged with a misdemenor. Let out of jail on personal recogniancence. Drove out of the state. Will miss her court date. What are the problems her decisions have caused her?

If your daughter misses her court date in Austin without making arrangements beforehand with the court, a bench warrant will be issued for her arrest, she will lose her "OR" (own recognizance) bond, and she may also be charged with the additional offense of failure to appear. Better get her to court.
