Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Getting Personal Effects from the DA office
I have a CCW permit. I had my firearm taken from me during an arrest. I have the charge dismissed and have a court certified copy. I need to know what the procedure is for getting my firearm returned from the Travis County Attorney.

What county did this occur in? What was the arresting offense? Where is your CHL issued from?
Re: Getting Personal Effects from the DA office
Get a copy certified copy of the dismissal from the county clerk and inform the police agency that arrested you that you want your gun back.
They should return the gun to you. If they don't return the gun you will have to hire an attorney to file a motion for the gun to be returned.
