Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

personal pics can cost you your job?

I have a Myspace account that is set private and someone right clicked on my profile picture and it was me kissing my best friend well then she got three more pictures and emailed them to my boss telling him what kind of lifestyle i led out of work and wanted my boss to take immediate action. Can she get in trouble for this? She didnt sign her name though just sent him an email stating that she was a concerned patient. Can i trace the IP address and can she get in any trouble for sending those private pictures to my boss in an attempt to get me fired?

I cannot think of a cause of action you could establish. If she did not slander or libel you, meaning that she spoke an untruth that caused you damage, then there is little left. Even though your account is set to 'private', you have placed this information in the public domain. Stories of hackers on the internet are legend. I consider it similar to placing items in a clear box, and where they can be 'seen' but not 'touched'. I assume you have contacted 'Tom' and asked him to fix the 'privacy' issue of your account.
