Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I Want to know if I can Somehow petition/sue the court for not having my record sealed for a felony case which i served probation and did everything i needed too. I am suffering from lost wages and depression just for one offense that is preventing me from getting a job! I Have always been a productive member of society and now i have boundaries that hold me down. Or Can I Sue a lawyer for not giving me the a fair trial because i wanted pre-trail diversion and i had all documents on day of hearing for the pre-trail diversion and she told me it was to late and i can only settle for deferred adjudication and this other lawyer said that was not right she wasn't suppose to do that! PLease I need serious legal help...I demand Justice!

Hire a lawyer to review your case. No one is entitled to pre-trial diversion, and it is VERY difficult to get it on a felony case.
If you have successfully completed the felony deferred, then you must wait 5 years to seal the record IF the case qualifies for nondisclosure. Not every type of case qualifies.
