Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
P.I
A couple of days ago, I went out because I had like 6 tests and a lab report in one week and I really wanted to relieve some stress. I was in a bar and the last thing I remember is just being really happy and talking to people.. and then the next thing you know I wake up in a jail or some holding place. I have to go to court tommorrow to plea my case. I have all this bruises and cuts on my face.. a huge gash on my back and my ear is really messed up.. and on top of that I think i might of fractured my ribs. The thing is that I have no idea what happened that night.. I don't even remember and no one remembers seeing me because I ran out of the bar. Supposedly I had an ''open tab'' and the bartender ran after me. The thing is that I didn't even have an open tab I didn't use my credit card that night.. and I had plenty of cash so I don't see why I would not pay.. (I'm not one to ever do that). This is my first time getting into trouble.. if my parent's find out there going to take me out of UT Austin and pretty much my life is over.. Do you have any advice? Thanks a lot
Justin

You need to get a lawyer before going to court. If there is no time, when you get to court, ask for an extension of time to get a lawyer. You should also get yourself a drug screen to see if anyone doped you at the bar.
