Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
A plain clothed police officer went to my sisters house and asked her a bunch of questions regarding drugs and other stuff. I have no idea why, I'm not in jail or under investigation that I know of. Can they do that? Is it illegal for my sister to tell me what was said?

Sure they can do that ... they are investigating crimes. You have no idea why? If so, why are you concerned and troubled enough to put this on a blog? It is not illegal for your sister to tell you what they said. I suggest you obtain competent counsel quickly so that the attorney can talk to the detective(s) and find out which way the case(s) is headed.
