Police showed up at my apartment with a search warrant for the previous tenant. I was not home but my roommate was, and the officer saw a small bag of marijuana on the table and proceded to seach the apartment and arrest my roommate for possesion. Is this legal? (Texas)

Based on what you have written, it appears that your roommate voluntarily allowed the police to enter the apartment. There may be other legal arguments to be made as to the admissibility of the evidence the police found. If my law firm can assist you/your roommate, please contact us at [email protected] to arrange for an initial consultation.
