Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
the police showed up at my house and said they had a warrant for theft, they told me that if i return the stolen property the charges will be dropped, is that true?

No. Cops cannot drop charges. The State might agree to that but you need a lawyer to negotiate that and it would take an unusual set of circumstances.
