Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Possession of a prohibited weapon
I'm wondering what kind of punishment I'm looking at for possession of a prohibited weapon. It was a 5 inch double edged knife in my car. First offense.

Re: Possession of a prohibited weapon
It is a class A misdemeanor. You are facing up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine. A lawyer can probably get you a deferred probation so that you will not have a criminal conviction on your record.
