Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Possibity of a 3-4 penitentury stay for riding in car

What do you think the reasonable amount of time I should serve if any

I served 2 and a half years of my probation and then moved to Wis were my daughter was born and doing I thought pretty good working as a manager at the Taco Bell in West Bend. I had moved back to Texas to be close to my children. I had disscussed with a officer friend of ours about turning myself in just a few days before the arrest.

I had been riding in a car with a known drug dealer and his girlfriend. We were pulled over and in the search they did they found a an empty pressurized ferterlizer cannister. I was just a stupid kid and did not say a thing. A month and a half later I did plead guilty. I was not my car and was no my cannister. I did not even know it was there until they pulled it out of the trunk.

Do not have good feelings with the court appointed lawyer. Not working in my interest. What do you think will be the results of this case?

I have a mother who is takeing care of my 2 small children and I need to be out makeing a living instead of them being on the system.

I do not think the law that I was appointed is trying to do anything and tells me he did not even know about the court dates until a few minutes he was to go.

If you want better representation, you are going to need to hire a lawyer, somehow. Court-appointed lawyers often have a huge caseload, and very little time to devote to your case. It is unfortunate that your mother and children are bearing consequences of your decision, but without more attention to your case, it is not likely to change the outcome.
